I’ve always believed that variety is the spice of life.  This has led to wide-ranging employment, but always it comes back to the written’ word.  For a few years I worked in the publishing industry as a proof reader, copy editor and chief writer for two specialist magazines, a national newspaper and a paperback book publisher.

Initially, I self-published and was thrilled when my debut novel was shortlisted for Choc Lit’s 2016 Search for a Star.  The Forgotten Promise is a mysterious timeslip, which takes the heroine on a journey back to the dangerous days of the English Civil War visiting the ghosts of her past.  This novel was also awarded Chill with a Book’s very first ‘Book of the Month’.

That same year I joined the Romantic Novelists’ Association’s New Writers’ Scheme, and in 2017 I signed a 4-book contract with Aria Fiction.

My first traditionally published book, Summer in a Cornish Cove (previously self-published as Cry of the Gulls), was nominated for the prestigious RNA’s 2018 Joan Hessayon award.  Its sequel, Cottage on a Cornish Cliff, reached the heady heights of #2 in Literary Sagas on Amazon Kindle.

Secrets of the Mist (previously The Forgotten Promise) was published in September 2019 and has since enjoyed #1 Best Seller flags in Time Travel Romance on Amazon Kindle UK, Canada and Australia.

The fourth novel of the Aria contract is a contemporary romantic suspense with ghostly elements, set on the beautifully rugged north Cornish coast.  Beneath Cornish Skies will be published on 7 January 2021.
